Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 May 2026
Scam Call Busters ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Scam Call Busters mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our App and services.
1. Information We Collect
When you register and use Scam Call Busters, we collect the following information:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and mobile phone number.
- Contacts: With your explicit permission, we access your device contacts to build a verified caller list. Contacts are stored securely in your private database and are used solely for incoming call verification.
- Call data: Records of calls screened through our AI system, including caller numbers, call duration, and screening outcomes.
- Audio: Our App uses your device microphone to enable VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) calls once a caller has been verified. Audio is not recorded or stored beyond the active call session unless a caller leaves a voicemail message.
- Device information: Push notification tokens (FCM) to deliver call alerts and voicemail notifications to your device.
- Subscription and billing: Subscription plan details managed through Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide AI-powered call screening and protect you from scam calls.
- To verify incoming callers against your contact list.
- To notify you via SMS and push notifications when screened voicemails are left by unknown callers.
- To display your call history and analytics in the Members Portal.
- To manage your subscription and billing.
- To send service-related emails (e.g., welcome email, AI screening number allocation).
3. Permissions We Request
- READ_CONTACTS: To sync your phone contacts for call verification. Contacts are never shared with third parties.
- RECORD_AUDIO: To enable VoIP calling when verified contacts are transferred to your device through the Scam Call Busters system.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: To send you real-time alerts when you have a screened voicemail or an incoming verified call.
- READ_PHONE_STATE: To manage call state and support seamless call handling.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database with row-level security). We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to you and authorised Scam Call Busters systems only.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party providers to operate our service:
- Retell AI — AI call screening and voice automation.
- Telnyx — Telephone infrastructure and SIP services.
- Stripe — Subscription billing and payment processing.
- Supabase — Database and authentication.
- Firebase (Google) — Push notifications.
Each provider operates under their own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at scamcallbusters@gmail.com. Call records are retained for up to 90 days to allow you to review your call history.
7. Your Rights

8. Children's Privacy
Our App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
